Denver Broncos 2017 Season: A Rough Start
5-11-0, 4th in AFC West Division
Schedule and Results
Denver Broncos (5-11-0) AFC West: 4th Place Head Coach: Vance JosephAfter four weeks of the Vance Joseph era, the Broncos were flying high. They had a 3-1 record, and their offense was averaging over 30 points per game. However, the Broncos then hit a rough patch, losing seven of their next eight games. They were finally able to snap their losing streak in Week 13 with a win over the Miami Dolphins, but they lost their next two games to finish the season with a disappointing 5-11 record.
The Broncos' offense struggled throughout the season. They were ranked 29th in the NFL in points per game, and they had a number of turnovers. The defense was also not as good as it was in previous years. They were ranked 22nd in the NFL in points allowed per game.
Despite their disappointing season, the Broncos have some bright spots. Quarterback Trevor Siemian showed some promise in his first year as a starter. He threw for over 3,400 yards and 18 touchdowns. Running back Devontae Booker also had a solid season, rushing for over 900 yards and six touchdowns.
The Broncos will need to make some changes in the offseason if they want to improve in 2018. They need to find a way to improve their offense and defense. They also need to add some depth to their roster.
