Match Highlights and Reaction Below
Chelsea clinched the FA Women's League Cup with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Arsenal in a captivating final at Vicarage Road.
Second-half goals from Aniek Nouwen and Erin Cuthbert cancelled out Frida Maanum's opener for Arsenal, securing Chelsea's third League Cup title in four years.
The match was a tight and tense affair, with both teams creating chances throughout. Arsenal took the lead in the 25th minute when Maanum fired home from close range.
However, Chelsea refused to be disheartened and equalized just after the hour mark through Nouwen. The Dutch forward headed home from close range after a cross from Maren Mjelde.
Cuthbert then completed the turnaround with a stunning goal in the 74th minute. The Scottish midfielder fired home from outside the box, giving Arsenal goalkeeper Manuela Zinsberger no chance.
Chelsea held on to their lead in the closing stages to secure their first major trophy of the season. The win also extends their unbeaten run in all competitions to 15 matches.
Arsenal, who were looking to win the League Cup for the first time since 2018, will be left to rue their missed chances. The Gunners had several good opportunities to equalize late on, but they were unable to find a way past Chelsea's resolute defense.
Chelsea manager Emma Hayes was delighted with her team's performance. She said: "I'm so proud of the players. They showed great character and determination to come back from behind and win the game.
"We knew it was going to be a tough match, but we always believed we could win. We created the better chances and deserved the victory.
"This is a special moment for us. We've worked hard all season and it's great to finally get our hands on a trophy.
Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall was disappointed with the result, but he praised his team's effort. He said: "We're obviously disappointed to lose, but I'm proud of the players for the way they played.
"We created chances, but we didn't take them. Chelsea were clinical with their chances and they deserved to win.
"We'll learn from this experience and come back stronger next season.
